## About
A degree in Landscape Horticulture coupled with a Masters in Landscape Architecture and many years of experience in design and project management give Patricia a breadth of knowledge which translates into beautiful and atmospheric garden designs. -- In addition to the design and layout of the space which are fundamental, I always maintain an emphasis on beautiful and detailed planting. Prepare to be constantly surprised by the planting- each day there is something new to see and enjoy! For me, each project is unique with a unique set of challenges and problems to solve, like a very creative puzzle. My hands-on garden experience and keen eye for design detail, enable me to take the best approach to construction and project management into account for every garden. As a result, I create gardens which are simultaneously functional and beautiful. What’s more, all of my designs are tailored to fit into their environment, rather than imposed on it. This ensures you’ll be able to make the most of your garden whilst ensuring it’s in-keeping with your home. I am here to guide you, from the very start of your project - from the practical aspects, soil and plant protection and the connection between house and garden but also addressing at an early stage every aspect of the design, from the choice of materials to optimising planting locations and styles, to the fittings and furniture so that nothing is left to chance. Call today to discuss your garden projects. I will work closely with you to understand your brief and weave it into something unique - which you may not have thought of yourself!

## Before you hire a landscaper
_What to check when choosing this kind of trade (general guidance, not a claim about this business):_
- Get an itemised quote that separates plants and materials, any machinery or skip hire, and labour. A vague 'garden makeover' lump sum hides where the money goes and makes extra charges easy to add later.
- Be wary of paying a large sum up front 'for materials'. Agree staged payments against work you can see completed, especially for hard landscaping like patios, decking, paving or driveways.
- Tree work and anything near a boundary can be regulated. Protected trees and conservation areas often need permission, and removing a protected tree can be an offence. Confirm what is allowed, and that they carry public-liability insurance, before work starts.
- In Ireland, gas work must by law be done by a Registered Gas Installer (RGI) and electrical work by a contractor registered with Safe Electric. Verify the registration on the public register before any gas or electrical job, as using an unregistered installer is illegal and dangerous.
- Agree an itemised written quote with staged payments tied to completed work rather than a large cash deposit up front, and confirm the tradesperson's public-liability insurance before they start.
