Practice Joseph Mackey Architects is a practice which designs high quality modern architecture. We put a strong emphasis on building materials, the qualities of light and the relationship between a building and its surroundings. We consider these issues to be more important than working in a particular style and hope that each project will be an original interpretation of the clients brief, site,materials and budget. We operate through collaboration, research and education, working closely with our clients to deliver a rich carefully tailored solution for each project. We work nationally and locally, in a variety of fields and scales. We are based in Abbeyleix in Laois but we are currently working closely with our clients to deliver projects in Dublin, Carlow, Cork, Laois and London. We do not specialise in a particular building types. We produce high quality architecture and like having a broad range of projects in the office. Joseph Mackey MRIAI Joseph Mackey is a registered Architect with the Royal Institute of Architects Ireland, RIAI. Joseph has worked on the design and completion of a number of award winning buildings for Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris, Tom dePaor in Dublin, Eric Parry and Niall McLaughlin Architects in London before establishing Joseph Mackey Architects.
